Who we are

Happy Healthy Human is an NPC, founded in May 2021, that exists to make healthy food accessible to all, especially those who need it most - orphaned and vulnerable children (OVC) in South Africa.Our NPC partners with other NGOs/NPOs to support our dream to eradicate poverty and malnutrition, especially in children aged 0-18 years old.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), well nourished children are 33% more likely to escape poverty as adults. On the other hand, childhood malnutrition can lead to a lifetime of consequences including lower IQ and cognitive development, weaker immune systems and greater risks of developing diabetes and cancer. 

Global Effects

There is a global increase on the availability and provision of processed foods which are high in sugar and low in nutrients, especially among the poor resulting in stunted growth, body wasting and weight gain.

THIS HAS RESULTED IN HIGH MALNUTRITION & STUNTED GROWTH

This is why we ensure that the food we donate comprises of nutrient-rich meals. This results in tummies that are fully fed with the right food thereby combating malnutrition and growth issues and increasing overall immunity.

We partner with and strengthen other NGOs or ECD Centres, enabling us to have a far wider reach and impact made possible by the existing systems already in place. These partners include Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centres and orphanages/ homes.Our support consists of raising funds to ensure the consistent supply of natural, nutrient-dense and functional foods to the people who need it the most.

PUBLIC DONATIONS

The public can make donations directly on our website. We also link purchases from the Real Health online store to our programme by asking our customers at checkout to make a contribution.

CORPORATE BEE & PARTNER CSI FUNDING %

We collaborate with corporates and other partner NGOs to strengthen and support their current programmes. All contributions to the foundation deliver BEE scorecard points and are tax deductible.

OVERSEAS FUNDING

We receive international support from philanthropic individuals and organisations.

NUTRIVITA SALES %

1% of all NutriVita group sales are
donated to the HHH foundation.
